"Claudus Exaudio" means "sit down shut up and listen" in ancient Latin. The members of "Claudus Exaudio" all come from different walks of life, but agree on one thing...that music can send a message. The band hates the idea of making everyone the same through medication. They don't want to see a world where everyone thinks and feels the same. They're sick of doctors handing out pills with serious side effects for concentration problems. "One day I was talking to my friend Madylyn, and I asked her to go bowling. She said she couldn't because she was going to her grandfather's funeral, but due to the effects of Prozac she said this with a wide smile on her face. I was once put on Ritalin the miracle drug for kids. When I was taking that drug I fought with my mother over things that didn't even really matter and when I'd come down off the drug I'd realize what I'd done and hate myself for it. Doctors need to get a clue and so does this generation" said frontman Devin Backman when interviewed.

Brandon Tafoya was suicidal while he was on the anti depressants. The were perscribed to him for depression, but one of the side effects was thoughts of suicide, "Weren't they supposed to help me not be depressed?" asked Brandon sincerely when approached on the subject.
